Yes. Care App replaces paper medication administration records (MAR charts) with a fully digital system. Staff log each medication administration in seconds, including the count before and after. You get automatic alerts for missed doses, low stock warnings, a complete medication audit history, and exportable MAR chart PDFs for each client.
Yes. Care App is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that installs directly on Android and iPhone from the browser — no app store needed. It works on any device and is optimised for mobile use so staff can clock in, log medication, write care notes, and view their rota from their phone.
Managers build and publish weekly rotas which staff view instantly on their phone. Staff clock in and out directly in the app with GPS location recorded. If a staff member forgets to clock out, the system automatically clocks them out and flags it for review. The timesheet section shows scheduled vs actual hours for every shift, and can be used to generate invoices directly from rota data.
Yes — all paid plans include a 1-month free trial. Your card is required to reserve your plan but you will not be charged until month 2. Cancel any time before then and pay nothing. After the trial, 1 month's notice is required to cancel. A free plan is also available permanently for up to 2 users and 2 clients with no credit card required.
Yes. Care App exports directly to both Xero and Sage 50 — no manual re-entry required. Timesheets can be exported as a payroll CSV formatted for either platform. Invoices generated from rota data can also be exported to Xero or Sage 50 format. This means your care records, payroll, and invoicing all flow into your existing accounting software automatically.
We are actively working through the NHS Digital Social Care Records (DSCR) Assured Solution assessment. This process is currently in progress. In the meantime, Care App meets the underlying data standards — all data is stored in UK data centres (Google Firebase, London), fully GDPR compliant with role-based access, tenant isolation, and a signed Data Processing Agreement. If your local authority or ICB requires DSCR assured status for funding purposes, we recommend contacting us at hello@care-app.uk to discuss your timeline — we are committed to achieving this status and can keep you updated on progress.
GP Connect integration is on our development roadmap. GP Connect allows care providers to access GP-held patient records directly — useful for medication reviews, care planning, and reducing duplication. We'll announce when we're closer to launch. All data is stored securely in Google Firebase (UK/EU data centres), access is role-based so staff only see what they need, all data is isolated per organisation with no cross-tenant access, and a full data processing agreement is available.
